As you may have seen in the local press Somerset Gryphons formed three years ago by the merger of Yatton and Clevedon Hockey Clubs.

We are continuing to promote the game of hockey by encouraging young players to take up sport with qualified coaches for junior players from the Yatton, Clevedon, Nailsea and Portishead areas. We are a Childsafe Club and as such offer a safe environment for juniors to learn skills and have fun training as well as in games and tournaments.

With 2 Ladies and 3 Mens teams we also offer hockey to adults of all abilities but paying qualified coaches and providing new team strips for over 100 people does not come cheap.

We are therefore looking for sponsorship from local/national companies to help up with the running costs of our and to provide sets of shirts for our adult & junior teams. In return we can offer you advertisements in our fixture cards, advertisements and links on our website and if you feel able to sponsor a whole team strip, embroidered logos on our shirts. Printed banners on the pitch perimeter fencing are also available and these will be seen by other sports clubs who use the venue. We would of course take every opportunity to mention your name in match reports or other articles that regularly feature in the local papers and on the website.

The new 2007/8 Fixtures cards will be being produced soon full page/half page A5 adverts are available. If you or anyone else would like to go in the book which goes out to around 100 people each year please get in touch with me.
